Nanostructured Catalysts for Environmental and Energy Applications
1) Oxygen storage materials
The development of solid state oxygen storage materials (OSMs) using transition metal compounds, which could reversibly intake and release oxygen dependence on oxygen partial pressures and/or temperatures. The oxygen storage materials can be used as efficient catalysts for environmental and energy applications. 2) Heterogeneous catalysts
The discovery and design of novel and efficient heterogeneous catalysts (e.g., metal oxides, semiconductors, metal-organic frameworks, carbon-based composite) for selective oxidation of organic molecules, photocatalytic hydrogen evolution, electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), etc..
